Email guidelines
Be careful when you are about to send out newsletter/bulk emails. If any doubts check with Kajsa.
Setting up an email in HubSpot, what to think of:
- Why? What is the goal with sending out the email?
- Who? Who are you going to send it to?
- How? What should it be about? How to make it relevant?
Checklist for setting up an email:
- Clone existing email (recommended) or start from scratch.
- Change images and texts.
- Add/remove/change linking from the email.
- Change address and social links in footer if needed.
- Add subject line and preview text (settings).
- Set language (settings).
- Add email to campaign if you want to (settings).
- Add lists to send the email to (send and schedule).
- If you feel happy, review, and send!
What if you want to make workflows?
- When setting up emails that are going into workflows, make sure they are automated.
- Don’t spam, make sure you are sending the right content to the right people at the right time, think twice or third about sending more than 2 emails in the workflow to avoid high unsubscribe rate (below 0,35% is alright).
- Keep the content relevant. Usually sending automated emails in workflows work well with very targeted groups that you are confident are interested in your emails.
